Green, i.e freshly cut wood is both easy and very rewarding to work with.

This one day course will give you a real feel for the craft and you will get to make and keep a piece of furniture, like a stool or bench yourself.

Its a great introduction to an age old craft, you will learn about the tools used, how to maintain them and some basic knowledge about wood and selecting wood to work with.

The £40/ £30 fee covers tuition, materials and a snack lunch, and a chance to get your questions answered.

• 10.00 am: Start
• Finish by 5.00 pm
